The Town of Wellfleet has received a State grant of $1.53 million toward
repair of the marina.
URGENT! The town must match the grant and spend the State's portion by
June 2007 or lose the grant.
This can be done at NO COST TO TAXPAYERS by using the Enterprise Fund to
pay debt service on the loan to match the grant.

VOTE YES
- State granted $1.53 million
in November 2006 to stabilize the marina's foundation.
At present there are serious public safety issues at the marina.
- Harbor is of economic, recreational, and aesthetic importance to the
town
- Town must match the grant with $1.53 million and spend the State's portion
by the
end of June 2007 or lose the grant.
- Marina will use monies from it Enterprise Fund to pay debt service on loan
to
match grant.
NO COST TO TAXPAYERS!
- Stabilization is the first step toward future improvements of the
marina. Grant
money may be available from the State for other aspects of the marina
renovation
project if we show we are serious about preserving and improving our marina.
- Vote YES at special town meeting to allow use of the Enterprise Fund
as
collateral. Vote at Wellfleet Elementary School on March 26 at 7pm
